The currency of Malta is the Euro (EUR) since January 1st, 2008. The foreign exchange offices at the International Airport of Malta are open round the clock. One can withdraw cash from the ATM's installed in almost all big tourist centres in the country. Various hotels as well as the big restaurants and boutiques provide currency exchange facilities but the rates offered at these places are generally lesser than those provided by the banks.

What is the climate ?

Type of climate
The type of climate in Malta is Mediterranean: summers are hot, dry and very sunny. Winters are mild with a few short and pleasant spells. The average temperature is 11 degrees in winter and 29 degrees in summer. The rainy season is between November and February but the annual rainfall remains low.
